As a former Spa Director at The Hotel Del Coronado, Licensed Clinical Aesthetician, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher with over 20+ years of experience Sam Grout is delighted to bring you Mountain Gurl.
After searching fruitlessly for non-toxic products for her clients and herself to treat various skincare conditions Sam was inspired to create Mountain Gurl as she couldn’t find anything on the market that was lab tested, plant based and truly good for your skin and the planet.
Thus, Mountain Gurl was born and we are delighted to be bringing you amazing hand-crafted and small batch products good for you and the planet.

Now calling Arlington, Vermont home, Sam lives atop Red Mountain on 52 acres with her two toy poodles, Bear and Bella. As Executive Director of The Vermont Leadership Center, the nonprofit she founded, Sam is committed to preserving the land for future generations through education, retreats, and wellness events.
When she’s not crafting skincare or running wellness festivals, Sam can be found foraging for mushrooms, tending her herb and perennial gardens, skiing, hiking, or teaching yoga and sound healing. She is also the Founder of The OM Festival, New England’s premier yoga and wellness event, and Yoga Fun Day, a traveling yoga and lifestyle festival.
Visitors can experience Sam’s healing touch firsthand at the Peaceful Body Massage Vermont a boutique day spa studio in Arlington, Vermont, where she offers massage, skincare, and personalized wellness sessions by appointment.
