As a former Spa Director at The Hotel Del Coronado, Licensed Clinical Aesthetician, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher with over 20+ years of experience Sam is delighted to bring you Mountain Gurl.
After searching fruitlessly for non-toxic products for her clients and herself to treat various skincare conditions Sam was inspired to create Mountain Gurl as she couldn’t find anything on the market that was lab tested, plant based and truly good for your skin and the planet.
Thus, Mountain Gurl was born and we are delighted to be bringing you amazing hand-crafted and small batch products good for you and the planet.

Drawing from two decades in top-tier luxury spas—from coastal Four-Star retreats in Miami and the historic Hotel Del Coronado to her leadership as Medical Spa Director at South Shore Skin Center in Boston—Sam Grout set out to redefine high-performance skincare. Inspired by a commitment to purity and efficacy, she founded Mountain Gurl to fuse the wisdom of Eastern Ayurvedic traditions with modern Western clinical science.
Designed for high-end boutiques and discerning clients, Mountain Gurl offers elevated, plant-based formulations alongside an expandable clinical collection. This dual approach allows for bespoke, customized skincare routines that target specific anti-aging and skin health needs. As the brand evolves into a comprehensive luxury wellness lifestyle line, every small-batch creation remains grounded in uncompromising quality, safety, and natural beauty.
Today, Sam formulates and crafts Mountain Gurl from her mountain sanctuary in Arlington, Vermont, where she lives alongside her two toy poodles, Bear and Bella.
OBSESSED WITH BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING
In my free time, I fully embrace the Vermont mountain lifestyle—whether I’m foraging for wild mushrooms, hiking local trails, or skiing down the peaks. Back at home, you’ll often find me tending to my flock of chickens, building and working in my perennial and herb gardens, or hunting for unique antique treasures.
My passion for holistic health extends into every area of my work. Through transformational wellness packages and signature offerings like YogaShape, The SMART Method, and Skinny Jeans, I help clients achieve vibrant fitness, glowing skin, and total well-being. As part of my mission to build community, I founded Yoga Fun Day as well as OM an intimate and private wellness gathering that brings 150 souls together for four days in The Green Mountains of Vermont.
I also see clients locally by appointment only at Peaceful Body Massage in Arlington, Vermont, offering personalized skincare and massage therapy.
